Sustainable and Responsible Investing (SRI) is an investment strategy which seeks to consider both financial return and social/environmental good to bring about social change.

Crea8 empowers you to make more conscious investment decisions and offers easy, transparent and low cost ways for you to express your values through your investments.

No. SRI is often used interchangeably with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing, ethical investing, responsible investing, green investing or impact investing.

Crea8 lets you construct two types of SRI portfolios:

1) SRI maximised thematic portfolios. You can do this by:

  • Selecting a theme to invest in from our suite
  • Varying emphasis on the E, S and G pillars to skew towards firms that care about the environment, promote a better society and/or adopt best governance practices respectively.
  • Setting your risk preference and combining it with transaction cost minimisation

Hence, you get to maximise both sustainability and returns; whilst minimising costs and risks with our optimiser.

2) SRI compliant portfolios. You can do this by:

  • Choosing an SRI compliant portfolio from our suite
  • Configuring it to different investment styles with factor tilts such as income, growth and value.
  • Setting your risk preference and combining it with transaction cost minimisation

Hence, you get to maximise returns based on the selected style; whilst minimising costs and risks in your SRI compliant portfolio with our optimiser.

Yes you can. We enable you to create customised SRI portfolios based on your values. You can customise portfolios to specific E, S or G pillars and sub-pillars so if you are more passionate about environmental issues, you can weight your portfolio to reflect this.

You invest in equities, selected from 2,500 stocks across 20 different countries.

Yes, they do. The values of securities are subject to the fluctuation of the stock market, which may cause the weights of securities to drift away from the optimal weights. It is therefore important to rebalance strategies from time to time. Professional strategies are updated or rebalanced on a regular basis.

Yes, we do. If you have an idea about a SRI strategy and want to design one yourself, go to ‘Strategies‘ and click ‘Design Your Own Strategies‘. You can use our algorithm to help you build or you can use our analytics to construct your own SRI compliant or SRI maximised.

You cannot include that stock in an account linked to a SRI strategy as we would automatically liquidate that stock if you do not specify so. It would be easier for you to open a separate brokerage account that is not linked to Crea8 to hold that stock.
